Kurt was born and raised in New York City. He graduated from the Bronx High School of Science; received his B.S. from the Stern School of Business at NYU; and attended the Executive Program at Columbia University. Kurt served as a Business Officer at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum; was an Administrator for the Cooper-Hewitt Museum and the Smithsonian Institution; and was on the Development Counsel for the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Kurt served as the HIC Fund Raiser and Executive Director for 27 years retiring at the end of 2014. He was also a Summer Camp Employee at Camp Gramercy (the predecessor to HIC) over 50 years ago. Kurt is married with two children and a big dog and lives in the Hudson Valley.
